I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I was raised in a Reformed Church with Dutch roots, but have found that many of the Christian groups and churches I have come into contact with have something worthwhile to add/offer in terms of Biblical insights and Christian faith and practice. Although I question some Reformed doctrines, I attend a Reformed Church because that is where my roots are, where I feel the greatest sense of belonging, where the preaching is based on the Bible, and where I can worship God without being distracted or offended by attempts to entertain or to cater to worldly interests.
I write under a pen name in order to avoid personally offending any of my Reformed brethren who may feel that I am attacking their “Reformed Faith”. I wish only to ask questions as to what Scriptural support there is for various aspects of that “Reformed Faith”, and whether the relevant Scriptures can be legitimately understood differently. I am not a theologian but do have a Master of Theology degree from Regent College, Vancouver.
